Standing orders are the written rules of a local council. They are used to confirm a council’s internal organisational, administrative, procurement procedures, and procedural matters for meetings. Due to the government-enforced lockdown and strict social distancing rules to prevent the spread of COVID-19 emergency legislation was passed that allowed individual councils to decide whether to postpone or cancel their APM. Broughton Gifford Parish Council decided to cancel the 2020 APM but produced a ‘Parish Update’ in lieu of the meeting. It also asked the village groups for their reports. All of which can be found below.
