The parish council serves and represents the community of Broughton Gifford. We are the first level of local government. We work towards improving community well being and providing better services at a local level. Our activities fall into three main categories: representing the local community, delivering services to meet local needs and trying to improve quality of life in the village.

We have a range of duties including:

  • Managing village amenities, including the commons, the cemetery, the bus shelters and litter bins.
  • Representing the village’s interests with other organisations, such as Wiltshire Council and the police.
  • Commenting on planning applications.
  • Supporting village organisations and projects that benefit the community.

Please contact us if you have any questions or comments about what we do here. We would love to hear from you.
