Clean for The Queen is a campaign launched by Country Life magazine in partnership with Keep Britain Tidy to clear up Britain in time for The Queen’s 90th birthday in 2016.
It will rally an army of volunteers across the country to clean up their local areas and will include a special clean-up weekend on March 4–6. With the full backing of Keep Britain Tidy, the campaign already has the support of well-known national organisations with a total membership in excess of 1.5 million.
BG will be doing their bit for GB on Saturday 5th March.
Details are still being finalised, however the intention is that all volunteers will be requested to meet at the Village Hall for 10.00. Please dress for the weather and bring a black bag and some appropriate gloves. We will then walk to the outer arms of the village and litter pick en route and on the way back.
Tea and coffee will be provided on completion at the Village Hall.
Please express interest by contacting any member of the Parish Council in the first instance, emailing Mark Sullivan on firstname.lastname@example.org, or sign up on the Broughton Gifford Events Facebook page.
