Broughton Gifford Survey

Thank you very much to everyone who responded to our survey last month.  We had responses from 104 households, covering 279 people.  This is about 1/3 of the village’s population, which is an amazing rate.  This shows a great level of engagement with the community, which we hope to foster in future projects.

You can read a report on the survey’s results at

It was very clear that people value our community, countryside and peace.  People were most concerned about the state of the roads and pavements, development issues and traffic problems. There were many ideas for facilities that people would like to see including children’s play areas, various clubs and activities, a community shop and sports facilities.

The next step is to establish a steering group, made up of volunteers from the community. The steering group will consider these ideas and the results of this survey. It will decide what further consultation exercises are necessary and set out what we need to do to make the village an even better place to live.
