New Snow Plough

We have bought a snow plough, so that we can keep the village’s roads clear if it snows.  Whilst Wiltshire Council will keep the main roads clear, we want to make sure we can get to them We got a grant for the full amount from Scottish and Southern Electric (SSE), so it didn’t cost the village a penny. New trees around The Common

We have planted some trees around The Common. We planted a London Plane tree to replace the one that we had to take down.  We put it on the edge of The Common, near the baptist chapel. New handrails

We have installed some handrails at the steps leading up to the church entrance. Some residents were finding it difficult to go to church because they couldn’t get up the steps and they asked us to help. The school and The Old Parsonage care home also backed the idea and they all supported our application for a grant from Wiltshire Council. We got a grant of £390 from Wiltshire […]

We wanted to tell you about the My Wiltshire App, in case you weren’t aware of it. The app allows you to report problems to Wiltshire Council including issues with potholes, pavements, fly tipping, rights of way, lighting and much more. Great British Spring Clean

We will be holding a litter pick on Saturday 4 March, as part of the national Great British Spring Clean event. Please meet at 10am at the scout hut.
