Tony Cooper, our village caretaker, has restored two of the benches on the Common; George Hiscocks’ bench and the Jubilee bench. He’s done a superb job and the benches are now good as new. Tony does this work on a voluntary basis for the good of the community and we are very grateful to him.
Thank you very much to everyone who turned up to Clean for the Queen. We had a really successful morning. About forty volunteers collected about 120 bin bags of rubbish from Mill Lane, Melksham Lane and Coombe Lane. It was a fantastic turnout and a huge amount of litter was cleared.
